November Nail Art Challenge- Day 1

Happy November everyone! I hope you’re enjoying some nice weather where you live. It’s been beautiful here in sunny Florida. I’m actually enjoying Fall for a change.

The lovely Erica and Erica’s Nails and More has set up another great Nail Art Challenge for this month. I’ve been too nervous to try any challenges in the past, but I’m getting a bit better with my nail art and swatches so I figured I’d join in this time around.

The great thing about the challenge this time around is that it’s a 10 day challenge instead of 30-31 days. Every third day the theme will change. So it give you some time to enjoy your beautiful nail art! Here’s the list of the months challenges.

So here we are, day 1. A rainbow challenge. I wanted to do something besides your typical “draw a rainbow on your nails.” I came up with a few different ideas but ended up deciding on a Saran Wrap Mani. I figured this would be a fun way to incorporate the colors of the rainbow.

The colors I used in this mani are as follows:

  1. Orange- China Glaze Orange Knockout (neon)
  2. Yellow- Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow
  3. Purple- Sinful Colors Dream On
  4. Blue- Sinful Colors Why Not
  5. Green- Julep Emilie
  6. Red- Julep Molly

You can also find this picture on Erica’s FB page

Over all I think it turned out pretty good. It doesn’t scream “rainbow” but does incorporate all of the colors in a rainbow. What do you think?

I love challenges and lists like this but this one may be too intimidating for me. Maybe in a few months when I get a bit better πŸ™‚

  2. I nearly did a saran wrap mani for my Rainbow nails but had run out. Obviously I have since been to the store for a “Nails only” supply… πŸ˜‰ These are gorgeous – love the colour combinations πŸ™‚
