I’m cutting it close on this one! I’ve been in a bit of a funk again. I don’t know what’s wrong with me lately. So I’m taking a bit of a blogging break. I’m still going to try to finish this challenge. Hopefully I’ll be back up to speed here soon.
Today’s challenge is “Gradients.” I chose to use Zoya Wednesday and Sally Hanson Mellow Yellow. Zoya Wednesday is one of my untried polishes.
I forgot to tape up before I started sponging! lol I had a MESS of blue to clean up and most of it didn’t want to come off. So if you’re looking at my cuticles like “what the heck?!”… that’s why.
Here are the other girls gradients! They did great. 🙂

Today I have a duochrome goody for you! My husband actually surprised me with this polish yesterday. He came home from his morning jog, woke me up, and handed me a polish. That was a first! lol He must finally be coming around and supporting my obsession :).
Sally Hansen Lava is the polish I’m referring to. It’s part of their Lustre Shine line. I’ve walked past it a million times in Walgreens but have never grabbed one. I’m lucky he has such a great eye or I would have been missing out on this beauty.
It shifts from pink to orange to gold. I love it. It was pretty sheer. I’m wearing two coats but next time I wear it I will probably go ahead and do 3 coats. I may try to layer it over black too!
So all in all… the hubby has good taste! lol I do love this one.
Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I have a Holly mani. We’re already into day 9 of the holiday challenge. Hard to believe that Christmas is a week away! Do you have all of your shopping done already? I definitely don’t. Procrastinator here!
Today I’m wearing 3 coats of Sally Hansen Hard-ly There with Strobe Light on the tips of my nails. I wanted to give it some sparkle :). I used Julep Scarlett for my berries and Color Club Ho-Ho-Holly for the holly leafs.
I like how it turned out. Despite the fact that you can see the stains on my nails that I’ve been trying to get rid of for 6 months now. It’s very sparkly in artificial light too, which is pretty neat looking.
You can see all the other girls Holly manis here:
Also, I have a bonus picture for you all!
Here’s my little polish buddy, Jayden, with Santa on Sunday. 🙂 He told Santa he wanted a bike and nail polish for mommy. Smart boy!
Had a very shiny nose! 🙂 I had to finish it. And as a matter of fact, my Rudolph does have a very shiny nose.
Yesterday as I was scrolling through my Instagram feed I ran across reindeer nails that were soooo cute! They belonged to Cutepolish, who also happens to have wonderful video tutorials on Youtube. Just in time for day 5 of the challenge. She was definitely my inspiration for this mani.
I started out with 2 coats of Essie Yogaga as my base color on all of my nails. I topped that with a coat of Deborah Lippmann Bring On The Bling for some shine. I really loved how this combo turned out so here you can see a picture of it alone: I used Julep Demi and OPI Gettin Miss Piggy With It with the red glittery tips of my nails and Rudolph’s nose. On Rudolph I used Julep Vera and Sally Hansen Coco A-go-go. His eyes are Julep Brandt and Julep Kate. All topped with a coat of HK Girl Fast Dry Top Coat to smooth it all out.
What do you think? I think it’s cute and it was very simple to do. If you’re looking for a cute holiday mani then I suggest checking out Cutepolish’s Youtube for this tutorial.
Next up, Christmas Tree. I already know what I’m doing for this one and I’ll be back on Wednesday to show you. Also, Wednesday the winner of my giveaway will be chosen! Make sure you go enter if you haven’t already and good luck to everyone. 🙂
